“He likes to stop walking and stare into the distance.

We give him a few minutes as a courtesy, and then get started again.

We use treats and flattery.

He responds when we say, good boy.

Our relationship has grown from working together as a team.

We have a shared responsibility training him.

He is the warm up act to having children.”

“We googled breeders and my girlfriend found a reputable breeder.

We waited two months for a litter and we’ve had him for three months.

It’s been tough when he’s pooped all over the apartment, and it’s ongoing.

We share the cleanup evenly.”

“We originally had a cat and unfortunately she passed away.

We were thinking about getting a new pet and we decided to go for a dog, a sausage dog, specifically.

We’ve always loved them.

They are smart, intelligent and they look hilarious.

It’s a good mix.”

“I didn’t question why to get a dog, I wondered what was stopping me from getting a dog.

My fiancé and I are from the U.K. and we wondered what would happen if we went back with a dog.

Luckily there is no more quarantine, if you get your dog the right injections.

Also, I thought about living in a small space, and giving our dog a good quality of life.

We wanted to know that with our work schedules that we could hire a dog walker and get him enough exercise.”
