OLIVE, THE FRENCH BULLDOG THAT WANTS TO PLAY 24/7 (PART 2)

“I say that it’s like living with a toddler.

She wants to play 24/7.

I started doing research into rescuing a Frenchie but I realized pretty quickly that the ones available to rescue usually had either health or behavioral issues.

I realized that I wasn’t the best owner for that situation.”

JOJO, THE BELOVED FRENCH BULLDOG, SHARED BY TWO PEOPLE (PART 5)

Jojo is my best buddy.

I take him with me everywhere.

He came with me to the Dr. for my annual physical and when the Dr. tested my knee reflexes with a medical hammer, Jojo started growling at him, thinking I was in danger.

He would protect me at any and all costs.

As a single person, getting outside my own head and taking care of another being fulfills my life.”

Milo, the Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky Mix) (Part 2, She Said)

“I started googling Pomsky’s for sale everywhere.

I looked up the personality for both Pomeranian and Husky and their descriptions matched what we were looking for.

They are very smart, active, physically appealing and social with other animals, including cats (which we do have).

We had limited options because they are relatively a new mix of breeds.

There were breeders in NY.”

MABEL, THE JINDO,CAIRN TERRIER, CHIHUAHUA RESCUE FROM KOREA (SHE SAID, PART 4)

“My husband is a great dad.

We have both managed our work and time so that we can take care of Mabel.

I work at an office, but my husband can work remotely part of the time.

He gets to take care of her during the day, and I know it’s not easy to take his mind off work.

He is very focused on his job, and the only thing that can break that concentration is Mabel.

Mabel gives us both a break from work,  and focusing on ourselves and our careers.

We are both driven people and society encourages that way of being.

Having Mabel has inspired us to slow down and appreciate the moments of day to day life, and live in the present tense.”

Mabel, The Jindo,Cairn Terrier, Chihuahua Rescue from Korea (He said, Part 5)

“We worry about Mabel and try to make her happy as a team.

She gets really excited when my wife and I kiss each other.

She runs over to us with great joy, so sometimes we kiss just to call Mabel over to us.

She wants to be a part of us coming together.

It’s a beautiful thing.

It’s funny and amazing.”

Mabel, The Jindo,Cairn Terrier, Chihuahua Rescue from Korea (He said, Part 2)

“Dogs that are not adopted in Korea are either euthanized or used for the meat trade.

We went to either three or four dog adoption events over a period of four months, and then my wife saw Mabel.

We applied for her to adopt her and took Mabel home that day.

They knew us because we kept coming back to their events.”
