Roxanne, the International Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy (she said, part 6)

“It’s not so much a particular situation, but rather the process of loving her and sharing her with my boyfriend that has enhanced our lives.

Roxanne has awoken maternal instincts in me that I wasn’t aware I had.

She has shown me the I can be responsible and diligent if something is important enough.

She makes my boyfriend and me feel like a family.

I do a lot of the walking and feeding because I can, but when my boyfriend is home he adores her and they spend a lot of time playing together.

It’s wonderful to watch them.”

Otto, the Strong Willed Miniature Long Haired Dachshund Puppy (she said, part 2)

“There are always reasons not to, but in the end we decided to go for it.

Our hearts trumped our rational thought.

We always liked Dachshunds.

We joked about having one because they are funny and sweet.

I did a lot of research, as to avoid a puppy mill.

I read about what to ask breeders.”

Koda, the intuitive German Shepherd (part 3)

“Having Koda is like having a kid together.

He adjusted pretty well after my dog died.

We treated him like he’s a member of the family.

He is never without us.

He travels with us, wherever we go.

The best of times with Koda, is when I am in NYC because walking around with him encourages me to explore areas I wouldn’t otherwise see.”
