NIKO, THE ALASKAN KLEE KAI (HE SAID, PART 1)

“The timing was right for us to get a dog.

We both grew up with families that had dogs and we knew down the road we wanted a dog.

We each wanted a dog (individually), but it was never the right time.”

OTIS, THE COMICAL PUG (PART 2)

“Their faces were comical and made me giggle.

They seemed low maintenance.

All lies.

You can never do enough homework.

Pugs shed, whine, drool and are chewers.

I wasn’t prepared for all of that, but I decided that he’s my puppy child, and it is what it is.

If people don’t like it, they don’t have to come over.

It’s Otis’s house.”

The worst think about having him is how needy he is.

This breed is a needy one.

Otis is always under foot.  I can’t even go to the bathroom without him being by my side.

If I shut the bathroom door, or any door, he cries and bangs on the door.

I’ve gotten used to  him watching me on the toilet.

It’s the easiest option and he doesn’t judge me.”

Roxanne, the International Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy (she said, part 3)

“Roxanne doesn’t experience any pain and we will have it fixed when we get her neutered.

She has been with us for about six months.

It was a very stressful time for both my boyfriend and me when she arrived.

She had to adjust to city living, coming from farm life.

It was difficult to go through the day because she wasn’t used to walking on a leash and was fearful of everything (sliding doors, cars, too many people, and noise in general).”

Milo, the Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky Mix) (Part 1, She Said)

“Milo is my first dog.

I live with my boyfriend, and living in the city we don’t have a lot of space because

we live in a small apartment.

We wanted a dog that resembled a wolf or a Husky.

A Husky was too big for us but we came across the Pomsky, which is a Pomeranian mated with a Husky.

I did a lot of research and came across an article about the Pomsky.

I loved that they look like mini Husky’s.”

Anubis, the Papillon/Chihuahua mix and Dima, the Pomeranian/Husky mix (part 1)

IMG_2323-2

“Anubis came first.

My girlfriend was a cat person who didn’t really like dogs, but I convinced her to get a dog.

She decided to get a small dog.

She met a Papillon that she liked and decided this was the dog for her.

After researching online, she found a breeder in the Amish Country that she liked, with favorable reviews.

We found out that he was a mix because his fur kept growing but he didn’t.”
