“At this point one of us is always home and we have a dog walker/sitter.

We are not sure how to fix this situation, but we are willing to exhaust all options.

We are open to getting creative, whatever that means.

We just want Riley to have a good quality of life.

My husband and I are also expecting a baby this week.”

“He felt a connection to Riley.

She was happy and playful.

We adopted her eight months ago.

She has sever separation anxiety.

We have worked with trainers and medications and nothing has helped.

It hasn’t been like anything we have ever experienced before.”

“Riley was the most social in the group of puppies.

She is very different from our last beagle; she just loves being around other dogs, but is afraid of people.

Our last dog loved people, but not other dogs.

Riley is a tri-color and our last dog was a lemon beagle, pale in color.

My husband actually made the decision to adopt Riley.”

“My husband and I decided to  rescue one of the dogs.

We wanted to sleep on it, but decided to go out to Long Beach, Long Island where the shelter was located, to meet and spend some time with the rescue beagle puppies.

We wanted a dog that was social and playful.

She was the opposite of our last beagle.”

“We had a beagle who was 11 years old and he passed away from cancer, so we adopted Riley from a rescue group called, Posh Pets.

We met her at an adoptapalooza event in Union Square, NYC.

We were looking, just to be around dogs, but not sure we were ready to adopt a dog.

We went into the adoption truck filled with puppies and dogs and got emotional.”

“For me, Tina is the first taste of having to be responsible for another being and loving it unconditionally.

My wife, Tina and I feel like a proper family unit, now.

Having a dog is a beautiful and enriching experience. “

“It’s just so comforting to come home after work to such a loving dog.

We went home to the U.K. for three weeks over Christmas, and had to leave her in NYC.

We missed her so much.

I came back before my wife, and when I picked her up from the dog sitter, we were both so happy to see each other.

Tina leapt into my arms.”

“My job involves me traveling quite a bit, and my wife rang me in tears after an adoption event while I was away.

She couldn’t bear the thought of giving up Tina.

When I got home, we emailed Social Tees right away and said, we wanted to adopt Tina.

That was it; she was ours.

She quickly became part of our family.”

“My wife ended up scooping up both dogs in her arms while I hailed a taxi to take us home.

Later we were hit with the reality of looking after two puppies.

We knew we couldn’t cope with two puppies, especially in a small apartment.

I took Tina’s sister, Tula back to Social Tees, which was very sad.

They were both slightly sick, but Tina was more lively, so we decided to return Tula.

It was heartbreaking.”

“They had a photo of a group of dogs and we emailed right away and wrote that we would be available to foster any of them.

We received an email straight back saying, please come in and pick up a dog.

We went to the Social Tees office and they said, hi, here’s Tina and her sister, Tuleh.

We haven’t split them up yet, so would you mind taking them both?”
