“We just never saw ourselves owning a dog in Manhattan.

It never occurred to us, because we came from the country in England.

My wife followed Social Tees on Instagram, and after seeing some of the dogs on their site, we decided to try and become foster care givers.

They post ¬†photographs on Instagram of all the dogs that need to be need fostered and people click on the image of the puppy/dog that they are interested in fostering.”

“Mabel has a toe infection and we couldn’t tell, but she was limping sporadically.

We went to the vet for her bordatella vaccine and asked the Dr. to take a look at her toe and found out that she had an infection and needed antibiotics as well as toe soaking and pain medication.

We are still learning as we go.

My wife and I are both career people.

We have been married for 15 years and have very busy lives, and occasionally find ourselves out of sinc– just in our everyday existence.

I think Mabel is a galvanizing force that brings us together.”

“My boyfriend wasn’t familiar with the joy that you have from having to take care of your own dog and the unconditional love you get in return.

Having Rooney as a shared responsibility has made our relationship grow and has added a spark to our family.”

” My family is retired from the military.

Being in the military, we brought Schuler and Winner everywhere we went.

Dogs are family to us, and leaving them behind was never an option.

After Winnie went back to Michigan, it was my first time being dog-less., and it felt like there was a huge hole in my life.

I started looking at rescue sites, and it seemed like there were so many in the city.

I knew I wanted to adopt a dog.”

Otto, the Strong Willed, Long Haired Miniature Dachshund (he said, part 3)

“Getting outdoors and seeing Central Park has been great.

We have interacted with more people than before getting Otto.

On the other hand, Otto has been a test to our relationship.

We have to get up earlier to walk him, so we are operating on less sleep.

Also, teaching him to walk on a leash has been challenging because he get distracted very easily.”

Kiwi, the Chipoo – Chihuahua/Poodle Mix (he said, part 1)

“I’ve always had dogs.

I grew up with them in San Diego, California.

I had two or three at the same time, and they were all different sizes–

usually, one large and one or two small dogs.

I have been dating my girlfriend for about five years and my love for dogs has rubbed off on her.”
